With our continued growth in Canada, we are seeking a Signer for our Mississauga Office.

The ideal candidate will be a client focused, highly professional self-starter with demonstrated experience in a similar function. He/she will also have a positive attitude with a high level of quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Complete review of cheques and processing of bank transfers in a timely manner, ensuring that all conditions are met prior to approving.
  • Ensure that evidence of receipt of funds has been obtained before approving/releasing funds.
  • Review files for balanced statements of receipt and disbursements.
  • Ensure that information is accurate on funding files for all data points requiring validation and verification.
  • Responsible for the release of wire transfers in a timely manner, ensuring that all conditions are met prior to approving.
  • Ensure that legible void cheques or documents from the financial institution bearing an official stamp are obtained.
  • Responsible for the separation of daily cheques printed from the Finance system to be sent by overnight courier.
  • Ideally, could complete daily bank runs for the Funding department when necessary. Ideally, candidate would have a valid driver’s license and a clear driver’s abstract.
  • Provide coverage of front reception when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License is ideal.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including overtime.
  • General knowledge of MS Office.
  • Willingness to be flexible to daily demands.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
